Position Overview

As a DevOps Engineer you will help to build massively scalable consumer systems for clean energy.  The Engineer will help build solutions at Hanwha Q Cells and will also lead the way in building systems to enable CI/CD. This position will be based in the Q CELLS North America headquarters in Irvine, CA, or remote options also are available.

  • Provide technical assistance to development teams to assist in the adoption and implementation of DevOps practices including adoption of CI/C.
  • Support, maintain, and enhance day-to-day information systems and infrastructure, through infrastructure as code
  • Identify issues in the production phase and system, and implement monitoring solutions to overcome those issues 
  • Work closely with development teams to create an automated continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) system
  • Involved in creating technology infrastructure, automation tools, and maintaining configuration management.
  • Escalate risks and issues to the Team Lead / Management as appropriate
  • Implement troubleshooting techniques and supporting the resolution of software bugs
  • Work cross functionally with our feature teams to identify infrastructure, security, and reliability needs and solutions
  • Evaluate application performance, identify potential bottlenecks, develop solutions, and implement them with the help of developers
  • Work on system monitoring and reporting to monitor infrastructure and application performance

  • 3-5 years minimum experience as a DevOps engineer.
  • Experience using JIRA, Jenkins, Github, and Github Actions and strong experience in configuring and automating the monitoring tools
  • Sound knowledge of cloud infrastructure such as AWS and/or GCP
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present reports and documents to leadership and to junior members in the team.
  • Critical and strategic thinking skills
  • Understand relational and NoSQL databases
  • Ability to prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects, issues, and activities

  • BS in Engineering or Math
  • AWS or Azure certification strongly preferred
  • Experience in working with AWS, CDK, GitHub, Grafana.
  • Experience working on dynamodb and mysql
  • Experience in working with DNS and protocols
  • Familiarity with agile practices and Atlassian tools
  • Experience with the software development processes including plan, build, testing, and release.
  • Experience with CI/CD process and platforms Github and Jenkins
