As Director of DevOps Engineering, you’ll lead our DevOps and Site Reliability engineers to support the development and operations of Blink Health’s Pharmacy frontend and backend systems including mobile apps. The DevOps team collaborates tightly with the IT and Security teams and knowledge of those domains is desirable. This role is hands-on, and requires strong knowledge of AWS cloud architecture, deployment, and automation best practices. You will be expected to help internal stakeholders/customers transform management of their complex systems/services, deployment/monitoring mechanisms, and improve resiliency/availability through a combination of best practices, tools, and cultural values.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- 5+ years of management experience
- 5+ years of Cloud infrastructure experience, with an emphasis in AWS, Kubernetes, and related technologies
- You're a people person. You connect well with technically savvy engineers and other stakeholders across the organization.
- A strong eye for detail, without losing sight of the big picture. Passion for continuous process improvement.
- The ability to communicate technical topics to engineers and management.
- Experience developing and maintaining a technical project plan and reporting on the progress of that project. Familiarity with Agile methodology. Talent for prioritizing and balancing the needs of multiple groups of users.
- Comfortable working with variables and striving to create clarity for the team.
- Experience overseeing the design and implementation of an IaC codebase that builds and deploys cloud resources using Terraform, Terragrunt, Atlantis, Artifactory, GitHub Repo, GitHub Actions, Helm, and Serverless framework.
- Strong understanding of Containers, ECR, and Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience overseeing the design and implementing a full release pipeline.
- Experience in managing SLAs and uptime requirements.
- Familiarity with monitoring and alerting systems (NewRelic, PagerDuty)
- Desire to work in a high-paced startup environment, where projects are iterative and responsibilities may become broader, or more specialized, over time.
- Experience managing on-shore and off-shore team members.
