The Associate DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining a stable and efficient infrastructure in order to optimize service delivery within the development lifecycle. The Associate DevOps Engineer will also monitor, troubleshoot, maintain and continuously improve the deployment process while launching product updates, locating production errors/ issues and building integrations that improve users’ experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESContributing expertise on information system options, risk, and operational impact.Managing the installation and configuration of solutions.Collaborating with developers on software requirements, as well as interpreting test stage data.Developing interface simulators and designing automated module deployments.Completing code and script updates, as well as resolving product implementation errors.Overseeing routine maintenance procedures and performing diagnostic tests.Conforming to best practices in network administration and cybersecurity to enhance the company’s IT infrastructure security protocols.Identifying manual processes that can be automated.Maintaining and improving the company’s cloud infrastructure.Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
Education:Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar.
Licenses & Certifications:Active TS/SCI clearance required
Experience:Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of relevant hands-on experience.Demonstrated experience working with programming languages (Perl, Python, Ruby or similar language) in a DevOps environment.Demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining AWS Government instances.Demonstrated experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, Apache tool sets Ant and Maven in a DevOps environment.Demonstrated experience with open-source DevOps tool sets (Spring Framework, WebJars, and others).Ability to install and configure software, gather test-stage data, and perform de-bugging.Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.Advanced knowledge of best practices related to data encryption and cybersecurity.Ability to keep up with software development trends and innovation.
Skills Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.Working knowledge of application security toolsets used in the CI/CD DevOps pipelines and automating the deployment of software and infrastructure.Securing configurations and Inventory BaselineContinual Security Assessment and DeploymentEnsuring separation of Duties and Least Privilege Control
