Who you are: 

We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Marketing Automation Specialist who will assist in the development of Geotab’s automation program including list management, journey builds, landing page creation as well as full-funnel reporting of all marketing campaigns through Salesforce. This also includes trigger based journeys in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC)/Exact Target. What you’ll do:

Working in tandem with the Senior Marketing Automation Manager, the Marketing Automation Specialist role collaborates with various teams across the company including product, Demand Generation, Digital Marketing, Sales Enablement, Revenue Operations, and Business Systems to help build and execute multi-channel campaigns, gathering requirements and approvals, and assisting in building out marketing automation workflows. You will support the development and evolution of Geotab’s marketing automation program through focus on contact strategy, leads management and program governance. As a data-drive marketer, you will directly support full-funnel reporting and analysis of marketing automation journeys to help inform and shape our marketing strategy. 

How you’ll make an impact:
  • Directly support organization objectives by building and deploying always-on and strategic email campaigns aligned to demand generation, lead nurturing, customer and partner lifecycle and loyalty and retention.
  • Build automated campaigns, sequences, triggers, templates, and segmentation through email, push notifications, and/or in-app/in-product messaging to drive conversion.
  • Perform QA on all campaign assets (emails, landing pages, forms, journey, segments) to ensure quality execution.
  • Work closely with leadership to support program and process evolution. Conduct ongoing testing related to subject lines, email copy, layouts and CTAs that drives conversion improvement. 
  • Work with the marketing analytics team to gather funnel insights; lead generation, engagement, behaviour and conversion. 
  • Support ongoing development and optimization of the lead management process, including tracking, scoring and routing.
  • Track marketing automation and email marketing analytics to improve engagement, qualified leads, and ROI.
  • Develop and share program/campaign performance dashboards and reports.
  • Support essential marketing operations initiatives in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce CRM such as managing the lead lifecycle, lead scoring, lead nurturing, segmentation, and data quality.
  • Be the technical subject matter expert in Salesforce Marketing Cloud including educating and training other team members, understanding and communicating capabilities,  limitations and best practice technical approaches in SFMC.

  • What you’ll bring to this role:
  • 3 - 5 years of automation, demand generation, and digital marketing experience.
  • 3+ years of advanced experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience working in Marketing Cloud preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud integration and data model.
  • Experience with the end-to-end implementation of complex enterprise SFMC solutions and journeys.
  • Hands on experience and advanced knowledge of Ampscript, SQL Query, HTML/CSS & JavaScript, Marketing Cloud APIs.
  • Hands on experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Contact Builder, Automation Studio, Dynamic content, CloudPages Forms and Landing Page.
  • A good understanding of email marketing and marketing automation best practices.
  • A good understanding of B2B marketing concepts like the sales funnel, demand waterfall, buyer’s journey, lead scoring, content mapping etc.
  • Knowledge of lead generation, campaign delivery, conversion rate optimization, and marketing automation implementation best practices.
  • Contribute in project scoping, identify success metrics, creating campaign briefs and business requirements, designing marketing automation and campaign/journey workflows and developing documentation.
  • Knowledge of data privacy laws and email regulations, best practices, and compliance including but not limited to GDPR, CASL etc.
  • Data-driven, highly organized, detail oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with reporting on campaign performance and providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • The ability to prioritize tasks based on the impact they have to colleagues and KPIs.
  • Experience with reporting on campaign performance and providing insights and recommendations.
  • Experience working in other marketing automation systems (Marketo, Eloqua, Hubspot, Pardot).
