Healthcare technology company that provides sophisticated cloud-based enterprise solutions for flexible, efficient, and transparent pharmacy benefits administration, claims processing and advanced analytics serving pharmacy benefit managers, health plans, health systems, as well as new and non-traditional industry entrants.


Project Description


An advanced platform and direct contracts with the nation's largest pharmacies (including CVS, Walmart and Walgreens) to deliver consistently low prices direct to consumers on prescription drugs


Responsibilities



  • Support a growing, fast-paced healthcare startup as part of a DevOps team with a focus on the software that forms the heart of the business

  • Work closely with the engineering teams to set up and support the continuous integration environment (using Bitbucket Pipelines, Octopus and other tools) and automated deployment processes

  • Help maintain the underlying AWS infrastructure for custom applications and services, including EC2 instances (Windows and Linux) and AWS managed services such as ElastiCache, Autoscaling, S3, OpenSearch, DynamoDB, and Lambda

  • Implement and support monitoring and alerting tools (both AWS tools and external tools such as Loggly and New Relic) for proactive responses to all technical issues

  • Configure load balancers, DNS, and related infrastructure to help our applications work

  • Help manage Kubernetes cluster environments

  • Understand the application and deployment technology stacks (primarily .NET/C#) and work closely with engineers in order to have the best hosting and build pipeline solutions possible

  • Write Terraform/CloudFormation/AWS CDK code to create infrastructure as needed and on demand

  • Help grow and champion infrastructure-as-code as we improve our DevOps practice


 


Requirements



  • AWS experience managing AWS services like EC2, EMR, Elasticsearch, and Lambda

  • Basic networking knowledge including DNS and security certificates

  • Comfort in at least one scripting language such as Bash, Python, or Powershell, or experience in other common programming languages.

  • CloudFormation, AWS CDK, or Terraform experience, and/or experience with other automation tools such as Chef or Ansible

  • Troubleshooting skills in network/cloud/custom application contexts are absolutely essential

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
