Our client is a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) delivering exceptional strategy and technology integration services to the U.S. Federal Government. We support several Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal Agencies across the Continental United States (CONUS).

Location: Remote and/or at Wright Patterson AFB 

Our client is seeking a DevSecOps Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. This position can be worked remotely. The candidate must have a minimum clearance of Secret clearance with a CaC and be a U.S. citizen.   

The proposed salary range for this position is $80,000 – $115,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications. Responsibilities include:
  • Expected to deliver in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment   
  • Satisfying data requirements from diverse user base including analysts, data scientists, and application developers   
  • Adapt quickly to changing needs across core areas 
  • Articulate trade-offs between design decisions, recommend a course of action to clients, and provide effective updates on project outcome uncertainty to leadership   
  • Other duties as assigned 

  • Clearance: Secret Level Clearance  
  • Years of Experience: 3+ Years, 3 years of experience + 4 year degree = 7 total years of experience 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related STEM degree program. 
  • Must have experience with a logging stack (ex: ELK-Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and service mesh (ex: Istio/Linkerd) in secret+ environments.   
  • Must be able to architect a closed-off system with verbose logging that also contains PII/classified data   
  • Experience using data interoperability and integration information to generate models, ICDs, and data exchange processes with a focus on identification, modeling, and data connectivity such as Data Models and Data Flow Diagrams, ICDs, Data flow automation, and Data pipeline creation   
  • Experience deploying data capability into a DoD environment, including familiarity with Federal and DoD security requirements for design, development, implementation, deployment and operation of applications 
  • Demonstrable understanding of software architecture and algorithm implementation and tradeoffs 
  • Experience maintaining a kubernetes platform architecture, orchestration, and scaling; background containerization. 
  • Ability to assist with getting through the ATO (Authorization to Operate) process steps 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with hands on experience 
  • Must have the ability and motivation to self-teach in order to stay current with leading best practices in the industry   
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • 5% - 10% Travel MAX (as necessary) 
  • US Citizenship 

  • Ability to assist with getting access to S-VISiON in secure areas 
  • Proficiency with Docker build process (dockerfiles, multi-stage builds, docker-compose) 
  • Proficiency with load balancers, reverse proxies, and related tools at scale (Nginx/Envoy/HAProxy) 
  • Proficiency with self-hosted IAM, RBAC/ABAC access control, and user federation (Keycloak) 
  • Proficiency with self-hosted docker repository management (Nexus) 
  • Proficiency with architecting multi-environment builds (dev, staging, prod) in Jenkins 
  • Actions/Concourse/Jenkins or similar tools into a containerized environment. 
  • Proficiency with Integrating CI/CD platform feedback with code review systems like GitHub and/or Bitbucket 
  • Proficiency implementing DoD PKI for CaC access and certificate revocation 
  • Proficiency designing and deploying on cloud architecture systems 
  • Proficiency programming in multiple languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.) 
  • Proficiency working in Agile teams and associated tools (JIRA, etc.) 
  • Working knowledge of Iron Bank, container hardening, and vulnerability scanning 
  • Working knowledge of IAC tools (Ansible, Helm, Terraform) 
  • Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases 
  • Working knowledge of data pipelines, DB clusters, and disaster recovery 
  • Familiarity with build and test tools of various languages (Maven, Composer, etc) 
  • Familiarity with tools, environments, and processes leveraged within Air Force MS&A community 
  • Familiarity with observability (monitoring and traces) via service mesh (Istio/Linkerd) 
  • Familiarity with Linux Administration across multiple distros
