Job Summary:
The DevOps Engineer will build and maintain complex infrastructure, products and services that directly impact the customer experience.

Essential Functions:
  • Work with TradeCentric product department teams to facilitate execution of a proposed DevOps deployment project plans
  • Provide detailed specifications and workload estimation for proposed solutions
  • Preform discovery and Analytical reviews of current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand them to modernize DevOps operations
  • Design standard operating procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance to deploy updates and fixes to infrastructure and applications
  • Work to maintain hardware and software requirements as needed for projects to be completed efficiently
  • Build and maintain effective product monitoring and alerting
  • Recommend and help developing software and tools to integrate with internal back-end systems and automate key business deployment processes
  • Reduce occurrences of systematic errors and improve customer experience 
  • Monitor progress, performance and implementation of products, services and initiatives
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues and perform root cause analysis for production errors
  • Other duties as assigned

    • Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
  • 3 plus years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related study 
  • Experience with SaaS based applications and their tooling including AWS Cloud, Elastic, Docker
  • Good knowledge of Python, SQL, NoSQL and LAMP stack maintenance
  • Proficient with git and git workflows and software engineering best practices
  • Strong knowledge of modern RDBMs management including MariaDB, AWS RDS
  • Working knowledge of orchestration and virtualization
  • Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
  • High-level understanding of various operating systems and their implications
  • Problem-solving attitude and collaborative team spirit

    • Work Environment:
  • This role will report to the Director of DevOps/Ops and work with other technical and non-technical team members
  • Some client interaction may be required over email, phone calls, and video conferences
  • An ability to collaborate, discuss, contribute, and deal with teams is a must
  • An ability to self-manage workload across multiple simultaneous projects is desired
  • Depending on the candidate's experience and adaptability additional opportunities may be provided
