PEXA’s world-first property settlement experience is already trusted by more than 9,900 conveyancers and banks in Australia, and we’ve helped transact over AU$1 trillion of property value with a faster, safer, and more efficient experience.
We’re building on this success with our international program to take this revolution to the world, leading with the UK. With the knowledge and backing of 10 years’ experience in Australia, a LEAN mindset, big ambitions and best-in-class tech partners, our greenfield platform is being built for global scale.
The International Cloud Engineering team is a team of 10 Cloud Engineers and is responsible for building out a safe and secure platform for our new International Residential Property Settlement solution. We've recently gone live with our MVP in the UK and have lots more work to do! We're also looking closely at other countries to implement into next!
Key Accountabilities:You will provide leadership in the design of implementation of cloud native solutions with key objectives in the areas of automation, availability, scalability, and security management. You will help deliver on the technical vision for the delivery of quality new products and create the enabling architecture and infrastructure backbone as required.You will work with our team in driving forward the operability of the platform. Collaborate with key PEXA Technology partners, product and development teams.Ensure the systems have observability build into their DNA to enable monitoring and alerting across the board.Build out an AIOps system to enable self-healing and recoverability
Skills & Experience:8+ Years hands on experience in software development & CI/CD5+ Years hands on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.3+ years’ experience in Finance Services or other highly regulated industry Experience leading technical teams- mentoring and coaching on best practice, as well as the application of continuous improvement practices such as pairing, threat modelling, code reviews, etc. Proven background in delivering Enterprise level services, creating new and support of existing platforms. This includes having completed conceptual and technical architecture designs and seen these through to build, test and deploy.Demonstrated experience in project delivery using agile methodologiesDeep understanding of environment provisioning and configuration. Advanced knowledge and experience of AWS servicesLinux/Unix AdministrationDocker and containers and KubernetesAutomation and configuration management tools Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologiesKnowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available serviceScripting technologies – Bash and PythonAdditionally, experience in some of the following areas would be advantageous, Networking, Security, Performance, Atlassian Toolsets, GitHub, Splunk, Experience with trunk based development, TDD/BDD
