Currently, we are looking for a Cloud Data Engineer who has a proven track record in enterprise data modeling, database architecture, data solution development operation and delivery.

About Our Project:
The team’s workflow is focused on migrating the hosted infrastructure from Rackspace to Microsoft Azure. The goals of the project are to build IaC; to build and deploy pipelines that aid build&promotion of immutable artifacts; and to adopt cloud services.


Requirements:



  • Overall, 5+ years’ experience with minimum of 3 years’ experience as Data Engineer or similar role

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within Data/Data pipelines/Advanced Analytics

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, ADLS2, EventHub, Stream Analytics (working experience on at least 2 cloud implementation projects)

  • Excellent understanding of MPP data warehouse architecture 

  • Excellent ETL Skills (using SSIS/ADF/Databricks/Qlik Compose)

  • Knowledge of Full/Inc Loads implementations

  • Excellent SQL/TSQL Skills 

  • Data Modeling experience 

  • Excellent communication skills 

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum team, with 2-week sprints

  • Availability for cross team time overlap (8am-11am CT USA)


Nice to have: 



  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field

  • Experience with SQL Replication


English level:
Intermediate+


Responsibilities:



  • Migrating data from legacy data platforms to modern best-fit engineering cloud data platforms

  • Developing data pipelines with Azure cloud stack

  • Developing ETL/ELT pipelines (using SSIS/ADF/Databricks/Qlik Compose) to provision data from highly transactional databases into reporting Data Marts

  • Developing data security, data governance, database tuning, management strategies, and backup procedures

  • Coordinating with the product owners to identify future needs and requirements

  • Implement modern data architecture and solutions using data lakes, Spark, Python, and other cloud technologies
