The Cloud Architect is responsible for the design of complex end to end solutions, merging our flagship products with the customer's portfolio, for both new and existing clients. You are a technical subject matter expert in all offerings across the professional and managed services catalog. From discovery through implementation, you will work closely with the sales team and the implementation teams, as well as our data scientists and customers to map out technical requirements and architect robust and familiar solutions.
Through your work with our strategic customers, you will identify opportunities for new products and features, and work with our product managers and tech leads to continuously improve Cognite's SaaS offering.
This role is a mix of consulting, architecture, and product development in a welcoming cross-functional team. Above all else, we strive to foster a supportive team environment where everyone is excited to share ideas, ask for help, and learn from each other.
What You'll DoAs a Cloud Architect, you will be an expert in how we implement our Cognite SaaS offerings and applications in our customers' existing cloud environment. Your primary responsibility will be to work with project teams to map requirements for a quality implementation ensuring that:The right data visualization technology is used in the right way (E.g Power BI, Grafana, Plotly Dash)The right data storage, integration, processing and transformation technology is used in the right way across Azure, GCP and/or AWSIntegrations are well thought out, robust and deployed with scalability in mindImportant quality criteria for the solution are met (E.g. CI/CD, logging, security)Operational responsibility and support agreements for the delivered solution are clearly definedDesign overall technical solution and ensure technical fit within the customer ecosystem and target architectureCredible advisor to our customers and partners on Cognite Data Fusion
Who You Are2+ years experience as a cloud/application/data/solution/enterprise architectBachelor's degree is required; Masters degree a plusConsulting experience that allows you to confidently negotiate requirements with customers and colleaguesHave experience with enterprise integration, customer relationships or IT integration designData and analytics project experience and able to confidently lead an implementationBroad technical experience with data and analytics stacksExperience with a public cloud, preferably Google or Azure, including familiarity with network security concepts, identity providers and application hostingExperience with operations, including support and change control, as well as experience architecting centralized monitoring, logging and reportingHave a DevOps mindset, and experience with Git, CI/CD, deployment environmentsTechnical background, willing and able to dive in and contribute code for advanced topics when neededHave architectural skills dealing with data modeling and infrastructure solutions, such as classical data warehousing and big data architectures
