Your Mission


As the Managing Director, Cloud Engineering SADA, you will lead and mentor a team of architects and engineers as they design, prototype, and inspire prospects and customers to adopt Google Cloud services. You will be responsible for driving sales and growth through direct partnerships with sales teams, executives, customers, and Google. The team is being asked to evolve in a number of ways to focus more on services, consumption growth, and outcome based selling methods. You will lead and coach the team through these changes to create a highly engaged and successful group of technical leaders for the company.

You will be responsible for fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, inspiring your team to think creatively and solve real-world problems for customers in Google Cloud.


#Team Evolution: Lead and support your team through an evolution of their role, providing professional growth opportunities and mentorship, and fostering a positive team dynamic.You will set clear objectives within the customer-for-life engagement model which will ultimately drive significant increases in market share of existing and future SADA offerings.


#Sales Focus: Utilize your experience leading teams that position and sell professional and managed services to drive growth and revenue for the division, positioning SADA as a leader in delivering Google Cloud solutions.


Expectations


Required Travel - Please expect travel up to 20% to customer sites, conferences, and other related events.


Leadership and Mentorship - As Managing Director, you will lead and mentor the team. You will help the team through a period of transition, leading by example and championing organizational priorities. Utilize your proven experience to maintain a positive team culture and high levels of accountability.


Customer Facing - You may interact with customers on a regular basis as part of the larger customer facing organization with your team. Common touchpoints occur during pre-sales, at project kickoff, and throughout the engagement as progress is communicated.  You can expect to interact with a range of customer stakeholders, including engineers, technical project managers, and executives.


Customer-for-Life Engagement: Reinforce and champion account planning, align to the Customer for Life engagement model, Services and Solutions GTM and Enablement activities. Advocate for the collection and creation of new standardized templates and artifacts based on existing solution and services development activities. Team with the Sales leadership to operationalize the measurements of the CE activities for the targeted and greenfield accounts in respective segments, focusing on development of pipeline through solutions and driving deal advancement of sales stages through engagement activities.


Job Requirements


Required Qualifications:



  • 10+ years of successful team management with a strong track record of positive cultures and strong results

  • 5+ years experience leading and mentoring a team of architects and engineers in a sales capacity with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets

  • Extensive experience in complex, Enterprise sales and account management functions

  • Proven track record in selling professional and managed services

  • Strong working knowledge of cloud offerings and solutions (Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS)

  • Ability to communicate across business units and the ability to interface with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience leading transformational change within organizations

  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in technical field or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of industry trends and new technologies plus the ability to apply trends to innovate the team’s capabilities.

  • Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect

  • Google Certified Professional Data Engineer

  • Analogous certifications with AWS or Azure
