The Cloud Platform team at
Lucid is seeking a Software Manager for SRE Tools. In this position, you will lead a team to build and maintain the self-service cloud platform as a service on various public and private Cloud Infrastructures.
Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches the work with vigor and determination. We are looking for a hands-on Software Dev Manager who will collaborate with various stakeholders to build services in the Cloud Platform.
The Role:Manage and lead a Team that will be responsible for developing the Cloud Platform as a Self-Service toolBuild Container as a Service to allow provisioning of various production-grade workloads that include Stateful, Stateless, Event processing, and Batch processing Build a Platform as a Service to share Services on the Digital Market placeProvide several core services that range from access controlling to cost awarenessProvide tools and services for application lifecycle management that includes CI/CD and Observability with APM capabilitiesEnsure the tools and frameworks are cloud agnostic and support multiple Cloud ProvidersProvide a single-pane-of-glass view for global deployments, including HA for failoverCollaborate with Service Owners to define SLOs, build SLIs, and ensure the Data Analytic services meet the SLAIndulge with Developers, DevOps, Data Scientists, and Quality Engineers to build reliable services, from design to productionUnderstands customer impact and can prioritize the workload between features development and customer supportSupport the reliability aspects of services and create a 24/7 service availability model to proactive monitor the systems across geographical locationsTrack record of hiring and building SRE organization from the ground up
Qualifications:B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, OR equivalent work experienceMinimum 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering2-5 years of experience in managing one or more Dev or SRE teams3-5 years of experience in building cloud-based software solutions using Go, Python, Bash/Shell Java or other similar languages1-3 years of experience deploying and maintaining applications using Docker and orchestrating on Kubernetes on Public or Private Cloud Providers1-3 years of experience using Cloud Automation tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, Cluster API, or other frameworksShow experience in hiring and building high-performant SRE teamsShow the traits of being detail-oriented with time management and organization skills, and dedication to qualityExperienced with various debugging tools and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks at the infrastructure or application tierGood to have experience with Config Management and automation using Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or othersExperienced with REST-based APIs and knows how to triage the request-response
