You will be joining our platform engineering team which builds, maintains and delivers infrastructure that enables our product teams to ship industry leading and innovative systems that make everyone feel good about life insurance. This team is always looking for ways to improve our delivery to production, stability at scale, software automation, security and agility. As a Cloud Operations Support Associate you will help ensure the operational success of Haven Technologies clients and internal teams by owning projects critical to our business. Responsibilities include troubleshooting incidents, monitoring health and backups, assisting with client communication, managing support JIRA tickets and ensuring that client issues are successfully handled in rapid fashion. Expect to work in a fast, fun & collaborative environment.



  • Provide excellent customer experience by troubleshooting, updating, resolving and or escalating client problems.

  • Utilize Pagerduty/Jira system to create, monitor, and update tickets

  • Manage and expand daily monitoring of our environments

  • Perform change requests based on client need

  • Deploy new images to client environments

  • Create technical documentation / run books & drive operational process improvement

  • Compile utilization reports or dashboards to help clients with capacity planning

  • Constantly develop new skills that are relevant to HavenTech's business

  • Work with new & open source technologies, such as AWS, Grafana, Kibana / Opensearch, Kubernetes, Postgres, Gitlab and more. 



  • Technical support experience or military service

  • Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies through work experience, internships, projects, etc.

  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix and networking

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal 

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

  • Excellent attention to detail 

  • Comfortable expressing points of view while respecting those of others

  • Ability and curiosity to learn a full range of technology platforms as well as apply new skills rapidly

  • This position requires availability of nights and weekends on a rotational basis. We are flexible with scheduling around the needs of our employees

  • Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future



  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, Helm

  • Exposure to AWS 

  • Experience with Python or Go

  • Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform/CloudFormation)

Target annual salary for this role is $70,000 to $95,000 + a bonus opportunity of up to 100% of annual base salary + benefits (including medical, dental, vision, accident and life insurance, paid days off, 401(k), and education reimbursement).
