Listing Description

We are a growing team of dynamic, tech-enthusiasts, and compassionate professionals, who are on a mission to deploy AI-powered robotic solutions that make supply chain operations safe, human-friendly, and efficient in the last mile of parcel distribution. 

We seek a Head of Cloud to manage an organization that designs, builds, and maintains Ambi Robotics cloud infrastructure, driving alignment towards critical objectives, prioritizing and sequencing team efforts, and providing direction and mentorship to team members. In this role, you will work closely with the CTO, VP of Software, and Product Lead.

In this role, you will:
  • Guide system design and implementation: Regularly plan how to improve our systems and how to pay down technical debt.
  • Oversee development: Conduct regular, timely code reviews and own team development processes.
  • Manage timelines: Maintain development timelines with accountability to key cross-team and/or customer-facing milestones.
  • Organize the team: Lead sprint cycles and manage team tasks.
  • Grow the team: Identify team needs and lead hiring of new team members.
  • Collaborate: Work with the robotics software team, frontend team, and product team to ensure that requirements are clear and that the work product of the cloud team meets the needs of other teams.

  • Proficiency with Node.js, Python, MongoDB, Docker, AWS tools (or Azure equivalent), CI/CD, Linux, and git.
  • A strong understanding of serverless architectures, data storage and retrieval systems, caching / media distribution, and scalability for API services
  • Familiarity with data stores (e.g. S3), relational databases (e.g. postgres), and non-relational databases (e.g. MongoDB)
  • Three or more years of experience managing a team including recruiting, owning development process, developing requirements docs, and managing projects
  • (BONUS) Experience with Asana, Node.JS nest framework, and scaling API applications
