Listing Description

Confluent is pioneering a fundamentally new category of data infrastructure focused on data in motion. Have you ever found a new favorite series on Netflix, picked up groceries curbside at Walmart, or paid for something using Square? That’s the power of data in motion in action—giving organizations instant access to the massive amounts of data that is constantly flowing throughout their business. At Confluent, we’re building the foundational platform for this new paradigm of data infrastructure. Our cloud-native offering is designed to be the intelligent connective tissue enabling real-time data, from multiple sources, to constantly stream across the organization. With Confluent, organizations can create a central nervous system to innovate and win in a digital-first world.

We’re looking for self-motivated team members who crave a challenge and feel energized to roll up their sleeves and help realize Confluent’s enormous potential. Chart your own path and take healthy risks as we solve big problems together. We value having diverse teams and want you to grow as we grow—whether you’re just starting out in your career or managing a large team, you’ll be amazed at the magnitude of your impact.

Cloud Partnerships team is building a platform to connect Confluent Cloud to public cloud platforms and SaaS vendor platforms. Public cloud customers can manage the full life cycle of a confluent cloud from within their environment. Our team is uniquely positioned in driving majority of confluent cloud growth by leveraging public cloud customer base and providing out of the box experience

The team's goal is to ensure that Confluent Cloud is organically and seamlessly integrated into a setup that our customers have. For instance, imagine a GCP customer who has their users, authentication and authorization policies, logging, monitoring, secrets management, billing, and the rest of the setup established in GCP. For such a customer we would like to ensure that it is easy for them to do business with Confluent, e.g. sign a deal, renew, expand it, etc. as well ensure the overall experience of using our product is as cohesive as possible - Confluent Cloud should not feel like an isolated "island" outside of the customer's cloud ecosystem, but rather as an organically and seamlessly integrated element. Success is defined when a customer can launch and use a Confluent cloud product like Kafka similar to launching any other public cloud product like VM.

We are building a platform that allows Confluent Cloud to be seamlessly integrated into cloud ecosystems for a variety of use-cases: subscription management, usage and billing, identity and access control, etc. Our challenge is to build leverageable systems that are resilient to a large variety of failure modes, and work with specifics of each and every public cloud or SaaS vendor. This platform allows us as a company to transact with customers, e.g. sign, renew, expand deals; move between being a pay-as-you-go customer to a contract / commit and vice versa.

We work in partnership with many technical and non-technical teams across Confluent to improve business and engineering velocity and help ship some of Confluent’s highest priority projects which has direct impact the Confluent Cloud revenue

The team uses a modern technology stack of REST APIs, GRPC, k8s, docker, datadog, runscope, GCP, AWS and Azure Cloud Platforms, technologies etc.
