Summary: The Staff DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing and delivering secure, automated, and highly available next generation solutions. You will be a critical part of a team focused on ensuring our services are built, tested, and deployed through a standard CI/CD pipeline. You should be comfortable taking on new challenges, defining potential solutions, and implementing designs in a team environment. This position will be expected to both guide and support the team’s growth and learning.


Key responsibilities:



  • Own and contribute towards end-to-end agile DevOps based SDLC with end-to-end automation in mind

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Support, and Ops. We are responsible for the design, deployment, and continuous operation of the services and platform supporting them.

  • Take our existing platform to the next level with CI/CD, automated diagnostics/scaling/healing, and more.

  • Work on a team responsible for a blend of architecture, automation, development, and application administration.

  • Develop and deploy solutions from the infrastructure, to the network, and application layers, on public cloud platforms.

  • Ensure our SaaS platform is available and performing, and that we can notice problems before our customers.

  • Lead building tools to improve speed, confidence and visibility of our SaaS deployments.

  • Build security into every step of the software & infrastructure life cycle.

  • Maintain redeployable cloud and on-premise infrastructure.

  • Work with distributed data infrastructure, including containerization and virtualization tools, to enable unified engineering and production environments.

  • Develop dashboards and alerts to increase situational awareness of the state of our production issues/SLA/security incidents.

  • Participate in a periodic on-call rotation.


Key qualifications:



  • Significant experience in


    • DevOps.

    • Implementing and maintaining a SDLC.

    • CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.

    • Kubernetes and tools used for automated deployment, scaling, and operations of application containers.

    • Deploying, tuning, and maintaining Linux-based, highly available, fault-tolerant platforms in public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP

    • Big data technologies: hadoop, hdfs, hive, spark, kafka, yarn, zookeeper, etc


  • Moderate experience in


    • Common configuration management & orchestration tools. Experience with or willingness to learn Ansible, and AWS/GCP services & APIs.

    • SQL queries and how they work.

    • Golang, Python, and Linux shell scripting


  • Strong communication skills in English both written and verbal.

  • Experience in compliance certifications such as SOC2, ISO27001, HIPPA.


Key experience:



  • 5+ years in cloud native hosting (AWS and/or Google).

  • 5+ years hands-on Unix/Linux knowledge.

  • 2+ years building or involved in building a CI/CD Pipeline.

  • A Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or experience in software engineering or a related field.
