We are looking for a Senior Principal Cloud Architect to be a member of Talend’s Architecture Department which is responsible for architecture, design and governance of our Talend Cloud offering.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be deeply aware of the development activities in the R&D department and work with the engineering teams to be sure their work is coordinated with the overall product architecture and vision;
  • Work closely with the Data and Analytics teams to ensure the best in class architecture and operational excellence of Talend’s Product Telemetry Platform (Product Data Lake);
  • Work with teams to discover aspects of the team’s implementation that could be generalized and used in other areas of the company;
  • Gain consensus on architectural aspects by providing written (including diagrams) and verbal presentations and working with the implementation teams to resolve concerns;
  • Coding proof of concept (POC) implementations and reporting on those results;
  • Facilitate communication across departments so that people are informed and working well together;
  • Be aware of new technologies and how that might be applied to Talend’s Cloud products

  • SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Between 3 and 5 years of experience in Cloud Native development and architecture
  • Strong interpersonal and excellent communication and presentation skills in English
  • Proficiency in a development language (Java, Python,…)
  • Solid knowledge and interest in Big Data, Data Management, BI, API management, Database Administration
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes
  • Solid knowledge of Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience;

  • OPTIONAL, BUT DESIRABLE :
  • Experience in working within a distributed & international agile team environment
  • Experience in technical mentorship
