Listing Description

As an SAP Cloud Migration Consultant, you will develop programmatic and practice protocols to implement the Migration Center of Excellence and manage large database projects. You will drive success by serving as one of several Rackspace’s key opinion leaders for SAP Migration and Performance Tuning, ensuring projects are completed according to product specifications and are properly documented, and implementation of the product satisfies the product specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for all activities and strategies related to the administration of the databases and supported applications 
  • Projects long-term requirements for database/application administration 
  • Confers with customers regarding capabilities, performance, and requirements of databases and supported applications 
  • Assigns and manages employees to various projects and directs their activities 
  • Reviews and evaluates work and prepares performance reports 
  • facilitate communication upward and across teams  
  • serve as point of contact for other departments on project status or other project information 

    • Requirements:
  • At-least one full cycle SAP migration experience with one of the hyperscalers (AWS, Azure or GCP) or a Private Cloud 
  • SAP on HANA Installation, configuration, sizing (one of S/4HANA, SAP Business Suite on HANA, SAP NetWeaver on HANA) 
  • SAP Sizing using QuickSizer and HANA migration assessment and Sizing 
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Fluent in English and Spanish 
  • 5+ years of SAP Basis Administration Experience with all the below: 
  • Change and Transport Management and configuration 
  • SAP Load Balancing 
  • SAP Installation, OS/DB Migration(Heterogenous and Homogeneous), 
  • SAP DMO migration to SAP HANA 
  • Expertise in Basis troubleshooting 
  • Experience with at-least one AnyDB for SAP(Oracle, MSSQL Server, ASE Sybase, DB2) 
  • SAP J2EE Installation and Configuration 
  • Basic SAP Security concepts and implementations 
  • Solution Manager Installation and Configuration 

    • Preferred:
  • Architect Certification with one HyperScaler (AWS, Azure or GCP) 
  • Consulting Experience as SAP Basis or Migration Consultant 
  • Excellent understanding and implementation experience of Advanced Basis Skills - High Availability (Linux Clusters, Oracle DataGuard, HANA HA, Windows Failover Clustering); Scale up and Scaleout scenarios using HANA; SAP WebDispatcher and Load Balancer Configuration; SAP SSO Configuration using SAP SSO; SAP LaMa Installation and configuration 
  • 5+ Years SAP Migration Experience (Data Center Migration, Migration to HyperScaler Cloud, Migration planning, scheduling, S/4HANA Migration Experience) 
  • Build Advanced SAP Architecture Documentation and SAP Migration and Technical Runbooks
